The Victoria Nile in Murchison Falls

Luxury Safari Lodges

In Uganda and Rwanda, chosen for where they sit as much as for how they look.

The luxury safari lodges we use in Uganda and Rwanda are picked for position first: close to the trailheads, ferries and game-drive circuits, so less of your day is spent in the vehicle.

How we choose lodges

Position first

A lodge close to the trailhead, ferry or game-drive circuit saves hours of driving and early starts.

Comfort and service

Comfortable rooms, good food and staff who understand the rhythm of safari days.

Fit for the trip

Some nights call for a pool and a long lunch, others for an early night before a trek.

Choice by budget

In most parks we can offer both luxury and ultra-luxury options, and we'll tell you the difference honestly.

Questions travellers ask

Can we choose our own lodges?

Yes. Each safari lists the lodges we plan to use, and any can be swapped for another of your choice and the quote is updated to match.

What does 'or similar' mean?

If a lodge is full on your dates, we book one of the same standard and confirm it in writing before you pay.

Are meals included?

Yes. Lodges on our safaris are booked on full board, with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Which lodges are best for gorilla trekking?

The ones in the sector on your permit. In Bwindi that decides where you stay; in Rwanda most lodges are near Kinigi.

Not sure which lodge suits you?

Tell us what matters most, whether views, privacy, a pool or the shortest walk to the trailhead, and we'll suggest the right lodge for each night.
